Making it stick
It looks like the head is a little bit too high. It needs to be less that the diameter of the filament above the work surface.
You might also need to slow down the travel and or increase the temperature. The hotter it is the faster you can extrude and still get it to stick.
Foam board works much better than MDF but it needs replacing regularly.

hi nophead,
yesterday I increased the temperature (the problem is, that my power-supply only delivers 9,7V) to the maximum of 175 and slowed down the travel. It than worked much better, I got a straight line, but after 7cm printing, the beginning of the line starts curling up. I think I have to increase the temp. further.
but in the meantime the glue starts to dissolve. I have used an epoxy-glue because I did not find JB-Weld here in Austria.
now I have found a mail order house who sells it (westfalia-versand.at). just ordered.
I will also try a foam board, but first I have to find out how it is called in german.

ok the name here should be "sandwich platte", but if I google for it, I find a lot of variants. I think the outside should be a sort of paper.
